Fish Taco Salad



For some time now we've been trying to live a "Paleo" lifestyle, some days we're better at it than others...but, we're trying! One of our favorites is this fish taco recipe, we've had it several times now, a few different ways, and loved it each time. We've had it over spinach leaves as a salad, wrapped in lettuce leaves for our "taco shell", and by itself with a side of veggies.

 I got the main recipe from here, but altered it slightly. I'll give you the way I do it, you can look at the original, and then do it however you want!










  • 1 lb. Tilapia Fillets
  • 1 Tbsp. Coconut Oil
  • 1 Small Onion, Chopped
  • 4 Cloves of Garlic, Minced
  • 4-5 Small Sweet Peppers, Chopped
  • Lime juice to taste
  • Sea Salt and Fresh Cracked Black Pepper to Taste
  • Pinch of Chili Flake










In a large skillet, over medium heat, melt your coconut oil, add your garlic and onions, cook for a few minutes (5ish) until the onions are translucent. 

Add tilapia filets, cook about 3-4 minutes per side, flaking as it cooks. 

Add the remaining ingredients and cook for another five minutes or so.

Serve however you would like, allow your husband to garnish with tomatoes (seriously, I am pretty sure they were God's only mistake!-bleh) 

If you aren't doing Paleo then I think this would be good with rice or on taco shells.
