In high school I had this teacher that my best friend and I often debate about if he was our best or worst teacher. We're really not sure, but he was certainly one extreme or the other. That man taught us how to take notes, and probably prepared us better for college than any other teacher we had. He had a routine and stuck to it. You walked in, sat down, and took out a pen and paper because you knew that as soon as the bell rang he would start his lecture and you didn't want to miss a single word because you also knew that every question on the quiz the next day would come from that lecture, and you would need to know exactly what he said to answer the questions. I paid attention in that class more than any other, that's for sure! The reason he may have been our worst teacher is that he also taught us how to cheat as a team...or I suppose you could say he brought us together as a class. In his classes it was an expectation amongst everyone in the entire class that when we checked tests in class you helped your peers by changing the answers for them. And, if you failed to help one person one time, you pretty much had a target on your back. So, everyone helped everyone. ((My Own Little Corner does NOT in anyway condone cheating)) I digress, my point here is that at the end of this particular class I was almost certain my hand was going to fall off from so much writing! I can remember how much it would ache by the time the bell finally rang dismissing us from class. I got something in the mail a while back that reminded me of all of that note taking I did.
The UGLee Pen! I so wish I had these in high school when I was taking notes and helping people cheat. I don't write near as much now as I did then, but I still do a fair amount.
I was recently given the chance to review the UGLee ergonomic pen. Honestly, I don't think it's that ugly at all. But, I seem to be in the minority on that one! I received three pens to try out and review, I used only these pens for the last week and a half so I could really get a feel for them. Call me old fashioned, but I still love to write things down on paper, often even though I end up typing them anyway!
I love these pens. They are super comfy to use, the grip is really super squishy. I wrote a six page ((front and back)) letter using one of these pens, and it did take significantly longer for my hand to ache. I'm not going to lie to you and tell you that it never started hurting, of course it did. However, usually it starts aching around the back of page one, with the UGLee Pen it took until about page five before I could really feel the strain in my hand. Which is amazing. The grip is super squishy and seems to conform well to your hand.
I was really afraid that the extra bulk from the grip would make it awkward or heavier. Not at all. It's super light, and feels much more natural in your hand than other pens. All three that I received were blue ink, but they also have black and red ink. Another thing I love about this pen is that it's refillable. All in all, I really love these pens, and will continue to use them. My only complaint is that the ink could be a bit smoother. The pens come in all kinds of cool colors and are retailing for $19.99 for a three pack.
BUT, because the people at UGLee Pen are so awesome, you can enter here for your chance at a three pack of your own!
