Title: No Limits (Ultimate Book 1)

Genre: Romantic Suspense
Length: 427 pages

A surprise inheritance reunites a mixed martial arts fighter with the woman he's never forgotten in the first in a smoldering new series from New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster
Cannon Colter is quintessential hero material: chiseled jawline, shredded body—the works. He's also the guy who rescued Yvette Sweeny from kidnappers, only to put an end to her romantic dreams. These days, she's older, smarter, determined to face whatever life throws her way. Even the prospect of sharing a house and business with Cannon.
Cannon knew Yvette wanted him three years ago. But she was young—and some things are worth waiting for. Thrown together by her grandfather's legacy, he realizes how deep Yvette's scars really go, and how much danger lurks in their quiet town. As pent-up desire explodes between them, protecting her becomes the only fight that matters. And he'll break all the rules to do it….
No Limits doesn’t disappoint!
Lori Foster is one of my favorite authors! This is an ultimate fighter novel. Cannon Colter is a well known fighter with the SBC (MMA) organization. When Cannon’s good friend Tipton dies, he is brought back to his hometown in Kentucky. Cannon is left with part ownership of a pawnshop and house, along with Tipton’s granddaughter Yvette.
Yvette Sweeny was young girl growing up in small town Kentucky and had always idolized Cannon. She led a pretty normal childhood until she is thrown into a horrible situation at the pawnshop. Forced to witness a horrific crime and almost becomes a victim. Cannon ends up saving her but she leaves for California to try to escape her past. She is drawn back into the small town after the death of her grandfather. That’s when things get interesting between Cannon and Yvette. Unbeknownst to Yvette, Cannon had started to fall for her even before she left. She comes back to Kentucky wanting to show everyone she is a different person, no longer a victim of her past. But when strange things start to happen around her, Cannon interject himself into her life and back into her heart. Cannon decides to move into the house with Yvette. She is fighting to be strong and he is fighting to win her heart.
I love the connection between Yvette and Cannon. One thing I enjoy about anything Lori Foster writes is the family environment she sets. The main characters are never in it by themselves. There are always friends to help out no matter what the situation is. She is always setting up the next book in the series and lets you get a peek of the characters before she writes their books. You don’t have to read her books in order to enjoy them, which makes it easy to just pick one up when you have some down time and just enjoy! Like most books Lori Foster writes, the male characters have a hero side. When I first started reading her books I thought I would get tired of the man swooping in and saving basically everyone connected to them. But I haven’t, in fact it’s one thing I look forward to when I start the book. She writes strong female characters as well… which for me is her saving grace.
I tend to read Lori Foster’s books spread out so I don’t get burnt out on the heroes and happy endings. Expect lots of (awkward) funny moments, mystery, sarcasm and dirty love scenes!! 5 stars for No Limits....... did you expect anything less??
